Abstract

These data represent data used in Tyler, S.W., J. B. Chapman, S. Conrad, D. Hammermiester, D. Blout, J. Miller, M. Sully and J. Ginanni (1996). Soil Water Flux on the Nevada Test Site: Temporal and Spatial Variations over the Last 120,000 Years. Water Resources Research. Vol. 32(6): 1481-1499. These data were only published in graphical form. Soil chloride concentration and gravimetric water content measurements on cores and cuttings from three (PW1, PW2 and PW3) deep vadose boreholes in 1994 on the Nevada Test Site in southern Nevada. The boreholes were drilled using air as a drilling fluid and were drilled to support characterization of the deep vadose zone in the vacinity of the Department of Energy's Area 5 Radioactive Waste Management Site. (Lat 36.860; Longitude 115.959) The full description of sampling and analysis techniques can be found in Tyler et al. 1996 . The full list of authors and contributors can be found in the pubication, both on the author list as well as the acknowledgements section of the manuscript.
