Abstract

PyLoTemp is a 1D Vertical Fluid Flux solver that leverages a Most Likely Estimation Technique in combination with Temperature Time series using Temperature as a Groundwater Tracer. PyLoTemp was made with user ease of access in mind, and it is an open source program that was developed in Python; and it can be used on most windows based devices. This manual will instruct users how to use PyLoTemp; and go over the complexities of the mathematics behind the program. This resource covers the "Advanced" version of PyLoTemp, but the "Simple" version of the program runs the same but has less inputs; so this manual will work for both versions.

Important notes about PyLoTemp!

My name is Louie Manzella, and I am the author and creator of PyLoTemp!

This is the advanced version of PyLoTemp, and was developed as part of my Masters Thesis
at the University at Buffalo!

PyLoTemp is to be used by extracting it from the zip file and then placing it wherever the user wants it to be saved.

If you try running PyLoTemp.exe and it tells you that it has an error due to a module not being found, simply
install the module using pip (see documentation for pip here: https://pypi.org/project/pip/ ).

If you have any other questions, please refer to the user manual (both on HydroShare and in the PyLoTemp zip file).

I am hoping you are able to enjoy using PyLoTemp on your windows based devices and that it works for you, but
if it does not work, please feel free to contact me at the following:

Email: alm65@buffalo.edu

I am a graduating Masters Student as of creating this, and I will be working full time afterwards but I will do my best
to keep in contact with anybody that has questions about PyLoTemp.

Stay tuned for an advanced version of PyLoTemp to drop in the near future!

Thank you again for using my program, I hope that it is of good use to you!

-Louie Manzella

Note: The majority of the python scripts found here within are translations of MATLAB codes that other people have created in the past.
If your work is featured in this and I am improperly citing it or you want me to give you credit for your work, please email me and I will try to update it ASAP so that
it does not appear as though I am claiming ownership of your work.
