Abstract

This resource contains a Jupyter Notebook that studies river flow at USGS gage 09498500, which is located on the Salt River in Arizona. This area was impacted by drought in 2021 and the goal of this analysis is to compare flows in that year to flows in other years. The script obtains daily and annual statistics from USGS using the Python dataretrieval package and plots annual flow ranges as well as a comparison of 2021 flows to the location's 95th, 75th, 25th, and 5th percentile flows.
